I won’t assume any stability exhibited in oil prices over the next 10 years which is the shorter term of the Pickens Plan.

If we are very, very lucky, the highest prices we will ever see again for gasoline and diesel, about $4 per gallon, will never be exceeded, in the shower.

Your…… Well what I thought is inappropiate so I wont say it. So there is minimal flaws in the plan. The problem is people need to learn that we lived thousands of years without electricity and did just fine. We also continued to learn and grow with every new idea and improve on what was so risky in the beginning. You need to learn to get a clue. A wise man once said to me “Thinking anything is foolproof in life makes you a fool”. I very much think you havent fully thought out your side of the argument. Change isnt easy and risk comes with a price but sometimes, in times like this, its worth its weight in gold. Cant grow and change and become better if you refuse to take up some slack, not accept steps backwards. Try doing something more constructive with your time, like solving the problems rather than bitching about it. Try just helping good ideas along instead of bursting the bubble with negative dulldrum attitude. You are what stops the world from working and us from becoming better.

Yes, I did read the full text. And who is going to actually stop and COUNT to two minutes. How many laws do we have on the books that people feel that they can skirt to begin with. Now we’re going to make laws that are completely counter-intuitive to the rules of the road.

I would like to know how many people on bikes/motorcycles are really going to wait the whole two minutes, especially if it’s not going to be impossible to enforce.

But my point remains, instead of bending the road rules around, SCDOT could get off their butts and install reasonably well-functioning traffic sensors. But that would require SCDOT to do it’s job, and that can’t happen in South Carolina.

“…the driver may proceed through the intersection on a steady red light only if the driver or rider, as the case may be:

(a) comes to a full and complete stop at the intersection for one hundred twenty seconds; and

(b) exercises due care as provided by law, otherwise treats the traffic control device as a stop sign, and determines it is safe to proceed.”

So you can only go if the light sensors do not seem to have picked up your presence for two whole minutes and then only if there is no traffic so close as to constitute a hazard. I always it find it wiser to read the full text before commenting so that I don’t look like a fool.

Pelosi On Pickens Plan

Do we want powerful stockholders like Nancy Pelosi within the key industries that determine the outcome of Pickens Plan by purchasing stock in the most important company for the Pickens Plan and disregarding, or refusing to sign the Pickens Plan Pledge?

Bill Richardson doesn’t own any stock in these companies to my knowledge and he signed. What is making Nancy Pelosi so shy?

4 Governors and at least 15 senators and congresspersons have signed the Pickens Plan pledge, are they all stockholders in key industries that the Pickens Plan depends upon?

Nancy Pelosi hs no presence on the Pickens Plan and has caused some controversy alread by purchasing a substantial amount of stock in CLNE which will directly profit from the Pickens Plan and legislation that supports the Pickens Plan. Nancy Pelosi holds great sway over the legislation that will harm or will benefit the Pickens PLan.

I believe Nancy Pelosi’s behaviour is unethical and confusing. I believe her behaviour is damaging to the Pickens Plan and to this nation’s desire to tear the stranglehold of foreign oil dependence from the breast of this great nation.

I mean come on folks, this is backroom political boondogery and I don’t like this. It’s elitist and contrarian to the plan.

Nancy Pelosi I encourage you to sign up and sign in and sign the pledge.

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is a great “bridge” solution for energy independence if the new president will take decisive action to get the government out of the way. T. Boone Pickens “Pickens Plan” is viable for getting 40% reduction in diesel fuel usage by transitioning semi-trucks to CNG over 5 years. Must make sure he doesn’t get monopoly on price.

I heard it different than you are saying. I thought Pickens pretty much destroyed Hannity’s usual talking points about “drill now” “more refineries” and how we “have vast oil supplies right here in the U.S.”.

Pickens flushed Hannity’s stand on each of those issues. I’ll trust the oil man, not the guy with an agenda.
